RIO GRANDE
This contemporary urban residence, though small, makes efficient use of its narrow site in Central Austin to allow open day- lit spaces, deliberate views, and a private courtyard. The main living and dining spaces open onto a generous porch framing the large heritage oak tree on the site which the building carefully fronts.
Weathering steel panels and warm wood trims give the home a unique character full of rich textures both inside and out. A private roof deck off of the bedroom loft offers an intimate relationship with the heritage tree and the dappled light that casts through its branches onto the house and courtyard.
